About

Kimberly considers herself a maverick, which means an unorthodox or independent-minded person or an unbranded calf or yearling. She prefers the first definition. She is a writer, architectural historian, and artist who is fascinated with understanding “the other.” Juxtapositions such as positive/negative, beauty/ugly, sublime/repulsive, black/white, male/female, conservative/liberal, past/future are all forms of inquiry in her own personal universe. In other words, she is captivated by what it means to be human. She is also a bit obsessed with simulation theory.

Her current work focuses on the history of the erasure of African American space within the built environment of the United States.

  1. Hi, art requires versatility, so there you go… I wanted to thank you for the follow! Please be aware that my blog is a bilingual one. So you may get links to some poems in English as well as to some in Italian… Pictures, on the other hand, have no language barriers 😉
    Keep up the good work.
