I’ve finally realized why you should slurp your pho! It’s the most intelligent way to eat wonderful hot soup without burning your mouth. You get all the flavor as it cools down into yummy goodness. Always slurp your pho!
Men want sex,
Women want presents
I’ve been thinking about digestion lately. (Well actually, it was just a minute ago).
If you would picture your stomach as a giant catch basin of stuff, say like a lake in Yosemite. (I was in Yosemite this weekend). I regress….
….If you would picture your stomach like an alpine lake catching a waterfall in Yosemite, you’d be careful of what you put in there and how you mix it. Because, you know, it’s going to come out “downstream”and you’d want it in a form that’s healthy for nature. You know what I mean? If you put crap into a pool above the waterfall (aka-your mouth) it’s gonna fall right into the alpine lake (your stomach), and settle down there like rotting garbage. What a picture. I would certainly hate to see rotting garbage floating in an alpine lake in Yosemite. It would seep into the ground and flow farther down stream polluting everything in its wake. That sounds terrible! I would want to have stuff like leaves and rain and fish poop and deer feet in that water. You know, the stuff that naturally falls in there. It’s been falling in there for a thousand years and hasn’t really hurt the forest. I think it’s the same with your body.
Today’s food so far:
Asian style salad (from Safeway) ,
Green Machine Naked juice (…again from Safeway. I like Safeway. You can buy several copies of things for $5….),
An espresso shot along with…
a fruit and nut bar, and…
a ‘Feel Mo Betta’ shot (which contains lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, cayenne pepper and ginger)
….all from my favorite coffee shop, States Coffee and Mercantile in Martinez.
Just like you have to force yourself to exercise and eat right, you have to force yourself to be happy. If you do it enough, it’ll become a habit.🤔🏹😎
I’m annoyed that while eating a sausage in Swan’s Market in downtown Oakland, I don’t see one Black person among a crowd of 100’s eating lunch. The only black person I see is the one that’s being talked to and ticketed by the police and the homeless man pushing a cart. This is disturbing.
I remember when Swan’s Market was a place filled with black folks and other people of color buying meats and stuff for gumbo, carnitas and tamales.
I’m not blaming the wealthy dot.commers and such, but somebody needs to do/say something.
